How
We Do It: Alliance Partners and Supporters
The
Alliance works through partners nationwide:
Our
Board:
Twenty-five
dedicated individuals representing quilt makers, the quilt industry,
academic institutions, and just lovers of quilts who volunteer
their time to guide, govern, and support the work of The Alliance.
Our
Regional Centers:
The Alliance has formalized partnership arrangements with two
institutions-the Center
for American Material Culture Studies at the University of Delaware
and the Great Lakes Quilt Center at the Michigan
State University Museum-to be Alliance-designated Regional
Centers For The Quilt. A similar arrangement is pending with the
Center for American History at the University of Texas. Each regional
center agrees to coordinate nationally an Alliance project and
to implement all Alliance projects within their geographic region.
Our
Project Task Forces: Each regional center
and The Alliance work together to engage interested and active
volunteers to coordinate, develop, and implement Alliance projects.
Our
National Support Committee:
A group of individuals around the country who provide key funding,
assistance, and fund-raising support to The Alliance and its projects.
Our
Business Supporters: Companies interested
in associating with The Alliance's mission and reaching the vast
market of Americans involved with quilts by providing project
and web sponsorship, grant funding, and marketing tie-ins.
